Molecular Docking Analysis from Bryophyllum pinnatum Compound as A COVID-19 Cytokine Storm Therapy

BACKGROUND: Cytokine storm is a condition that typically develops during severe COVID-19 viral infection and contributes cause of death. Bryophyllum pinnatum herbal medicinal has an impact as anti-inflammatory agent. B. may be used therapeutic agent for cytokine storms. AIM: We were investigating the molecular interactions active compounds with cytokines involved in infection. METHODS: did docking approach using chemicals from Bryphyllum pinnatum, which was available on PubChem website. Meanwhile, protein utilized retrieved databank. Pyrx 9.5, Pymol, Discovery Studio software to evaluate visualize interaction results between ligands proteins formed. RESULTS: Bryophyllin B strongest affinity IL-6, whereas Bryotoxin A had highest binding Gly-ACE TNF alpha. Pharmacokinetic predictions indicate good pharmacokinetic profile but low toxicity due reproductive effect. On other hand, poor safe human use. CONCLUSIONS: show potential therapy However, further study required examine effectiveness these compounds.
